​Our research group commits to upholding the values of equity, diversity, and inclusion. First, we welcome members from diverse identities and backgrounds into our lab: we believe science is truly made better when diverse ideologies, experiences, inputs, and thoughts are incorporated into research problems, questions, analyses, interpretations, and dissemination of findings. Second, we commit to working in allyship alongside our diverse members, and commit to learning and unlearning, making mistakes, and acknowledging our biases without guilt or denial (1). We will foster values of inclusion and compassion, and work in collaboration…we will have fun, we will play, and we will laugh.
